How to Set Up Salah-Time Routines
Salah routines follow daily prayer times calculated from your household’s saved location and method. They adjust automatically as prayer times change through the year.
Available with individual device protection. Salah-time routines are included with Device Only Protection and Complete Family Protection for connected protected-device profiles.
Confirm your Salah calculation settings
- →Open Settings and find Salah Time Settings.
- →Choose your city and country, calculation method, and Asr school.
- →Use the per-prayer adjustments when needed, then compare the preview with your local masjid timetable.
- →Save only when the preview is correct for your family.
Create a Salah-based routine
- →Return to the Family Protection Centre, select a profile and open Routines.
- →Choose Custom routine and then Salah-based, or start with the Salah Focus template.
- →Select Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib or Isha.
Set a real prayer window
- →Minutes before can be 0–180 minutes.
- →Minutes after can be 0–240 minutes.
- →The total window must be longer than zero. If both values are zero, the routine is rejected—no automatic fallback window is added.
- →The Salah Focus template starts with Dhuhr, 10 minutes before and 30 minutes after.
Choose days and protection
- →Select every day on which the routine should run. A custom routine starts with weekdays selected; the Salah Focus template uses every day.
- →Choose Block selected distractions for apps, services or websites, or Pause internet safely for a broader pause.
- →Safe pause requires at least one communication exception. Phone calls and SMS remain unaffected.
Save and verify
- →Tap Save routine and wait for Protection schedule verified.
- →If verification is still finishing, avoid changing the same profile until the status clears.
- →The engine evaluates the routine every minute using the prayer time for that date and your saved settings.
Automatic seasonal adjustment: the routine follows the calculated prayer time each day; you do not need to edit fixed clock times throughout the year.
Local masjid remains your reference: calculation methods and local timetables can differ. Use the adjustment controls so the preview matches the timetable your family follows.
A valid city and time zone are required for Salah scheduling. If location settings are missing or invalid, the engine stops rather than applying an uncertain time.
