Setup Guides

Get Protected in Minutes

Digital protection through Islamic values.

Follow the verified guide for your exact router or device. Setup time depends on the model and verification step.

Where to start

Choose Your Setup

Start with the option that matches what you want to protect.

Your Fitra Guard address is unique to your account

Use the personalised setup details shown inside your dashboard. This ensures protection is linked correctly to your family or school account. Do not use generic DNS addresses found online.

Home Router

Protect devices connected to your home Wi-Fi with your household’s unique DNS addresses.

Use the unique Primary DNS and Secondary DNS shown in Dashboard → Router profile → Device Setup. Router setup does not use a child profile’s DoH address. Choose the exact model below; router menus and safe setup steps differ even within the same brand.

Find the verified guide for your router

Use the exact model printed on the back or underside of the main router or mesh unit. The ISP helps support identify provider-managed firmware.

Select the brand and enter the exact model to reveal a manufacturer-sourced guide. Fitra Guard will not ask you to guess a gateway address or router menu.

Finish by verifying protection: Save both DNS addresses using the verified guide for the exact router model. Stay connected to home Wi-Fi and temporarily disable any VPN or iCloud Private Relay. In the setup flow, tap Link my IP. Linking does not start the trial. Open a normal website on home Wi-Fi to generate DNS traffic. Wait for Protection verified. This normally takes 1–2 minutes; the checker continues for up to about five minutes.

Phones & Tablets

Secure devices even when they're on mobile data, away from home.

iOS tip: The .mobileconfig approach provides system-wide DoH protection. Changing Wi-Fi DNS manually only protects that specific network — not cellular data.

Computers

Lock down desktop and laptop browsing with DNS-level filtering.

Advanced: Stable Home Wi-Fi Link

Keep protection working smoothly if your home connection changes often.

Some internet providers change your home connection address more often than others. If this happens repeatedly, Fitra Guard Support can help you choose a more stable setup for your router. Most families do not need this.

If your protection keeps dropping after power outages or router restarts, contact Fitra Guard Support and we'll help you set up a more stable link for your home network.
