Why Fitra Guard May Ask You to Refresh Your Home Wi-Fi Link
Fitra Guard protects your home by linking your filtering settings to your protected home Wi-Fi.
On some internet connections, your internet provider may change your home connection address from time to time. This can happen after:
- → a router restart
- → a power outage
- → an internet reconnect
- → fibre or PPPoE reconnection
- → maintenance by your internet provider
When this happens, your Fitra Guard settings are not lost. Your home Wi-Fi may simply need to be refreshed so Fitra Guard can recognise your connection again.
How to refresh your Home Wi-Fi Link
- Make sure you are connected to your home Wi-Fi.
- Open your Fitra Guard dashboard.
- Go to your home/router protection profile or setup area.
- Tap Refresh Home Wi-Fi Link.
- Wait for the confirmation message.
- Check that protection is active again.
If the refresh is successful, your household protection will continue using your saved settings.
Why does this happen?
Some internet providers use changing home connection addresses. This is normal and does not mean your router is broken.
It simply means your protected home Wi-Fi may need to be linked again so Fitra Guard knows which connection belongs to your household.
Will this happen often?
For many families, it may rarely happen.
For some internet providers or router setups, it may happen more often, especially after power cuts, router restarts, or internet reconnects.
If it happens repeatedly, read our guide below to keeping your router protection connected.
What if I cannot refresh it?
Please contact Fitra Guard Support and include:
- → your internet provider name
- → your router model
- → whether your router was recently restarted
- → whether there was a power outage
- → whether Fitra Guard was working before
We will help you reconnect your home protection.
Does this keep happening?
If your protection repeatedly disconnects after power outages, router restarts or internet reconnections, read our guide to keeping your router protection connected.

Always refresh your Home Wi-Fi Link from a device connected to your home Wi-Fi — not mobile data. Your saved protection settings stay active throughout.
